Children and Screen Time: One Parent’s Guiding Questions


Children of all ages are increasingly using technology both in and out of the classroom, making screen time a hot topic for parents and teachers. A few recent studies show that too much screen time has many negative effects, including obesity, irregular sleep patterns, and social/behavioral issues.

With the holidays approaching, students will have a few weeks off school and many of them will spend that time looking at screens: televisions, phones, tablets, handheld game consoles, etc. In a recent Huffington Post article, Dion Lim, NextLesson’s Co-founder/CEO and father of three, shared some questions for families to ask themselves to help guide their technology usage.
